  VERHAGEN: SERBIA SHOULD DECIDE
FOR OR AGAINST EUROPE

The Netherlands blocks the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement with Serbia because it believes that full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal is a prerequisite for this, said Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen in an interview with a Frankfurt daily.
"What we have offered is not an interim SAA, but a political dialogue that opens the possibility for joining Europe in the future", said Verhagen.
"The EU Council of Ministers has taken the stance that the signing of the SAA requires full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal", he added.
Asked if EU-Serbia cooperation could influence the presidential election result, Verhagen stated that the Serbian people should decide who to vote for.
"We have opened the possibility of signing the Agreement after the elections. Thus, it is up to the people whether it chooses the pro-European perspective. Serbs should decide whether they are for or against Europe", concluded Dutch FM Verhagen.

DEDICATION OF SKOPJE CHURCH
"BIRTH OF MOST HOLY MOTHER OF GOD"

Restored cathedral church "Birth of Most Holy Mother of God", located on the left bank of Vardar river in Skopje, is to be dedicated on Thursday.
The church, which has been built for four years, is located on the space of the namesake church, which was dedicated in 1835, but destroyed during World War II in 1944.
The church is of cathedral dimensions and though not yet finished, main icons required for dedication are placed. Marble iconostasis and fresco-painting on the church walls remain to be realised.
Skopje Mayor Trifun Kostovski financed the church's restoration.
This is third church in Skopje area dedicated to the Holy Mother of God, the city patron.

FIRST WITNESS OF BOSKOSKI DEFENSE TO APPEAR IN THE HAGUE

Trial of former Minister of Interior Ljube Boskoski on case "Ljuboten" resumes Thursday in the Hague Tribunal with the hearing of the first defense witness.
The team of lawyers has announced a total of 15 witnesses, four of which testifying on the stand, while the rest have submitted written statements.
Boskoski's lawyer Edina Rasidovic, who had the introductory statement on Wednesday, stressed that evidence presented to the Court would refute claims of prosecutors on his command responsibility, along with an expectancy of an acquitting judgment.
The trial of Boskoski and Tarculovski began on April 16, 2007, with the hearing of about 50 witnesses summoned by the prosecutors.
Former Minister of Interior Ljube Boskoski and police inspector Johan Tarculovski are charged with violation of laws and customs of war regarding the Ljuboten case. Boskoski is charged with "command responsibility" i.e. he approved Tarculovski to form and lead a police unit, which in August 2001 carried out an operation in Ljuboten when seven residents of Albanian nationality were killed.
Despite guaranties provided by the Macedonian Government, the Tribunal did not grant provisional release to Boskoski and Tarculovski.
