  THE GIANT OF THE MACEDONIAN LITERATURE HAS LEFT

Petre M. Andreevski (born in village of Sloestica, Demir Hisar) an outstanding poet, novelist, narrator, drama author, writer, died at his 72.
Together wit his death, Macedonia lost and author which works left strong impression of the Macedonian literature. His novels “Pirej”, “The last peasants”, “The tunnel” will remain remembered as anthological works in the history if the Macedonian literature.
“With his death the Macedonian literature and culture are loosing one of the most significant creators, who left deep traces with superior realizations in the area of the poetry, the novel, the narration and the drama”, are saying from the Association of the writers of Macedonia, which was led by him. 30 works constitute his large creation. Except the novels, he also left many poetical collections:
“I na nebo I na zemja”, “Pofalbi i poplaki”, “Lakrimarija”, as well as with the legendary poetical book ”Denicija”, in which Andreevski, through the written word, was talking about the love and the patriotism. The Macedonian literary giant is a winner of eminent awards and tributes: “11 Oktomvri”, “Racinovo priznanie”, “Knizevno zezlo”, and twice a winner of the awards “Braka Miladinovci” – for best poetical work and “Stale Popov” – for best novel. His songs and novels are published on many languages in Europe. Last time in the literary public has appeared as a president of the jury who assign the award for best poem, “Grigor Prlicev”. Then Andreevski send a message that the domestic readers and writers should be proud that the Macedonian history had great author like Grigor Prlicev and he added that the works of those creators should be appreciate more.

NO FREEZING OF THE NEGOTIATION

The European representative in Macedonia, Erwan Fuere, at the meeting with Gabriela Konevska-Trajkovska stated that the Constitution of EU will be one of the priorities of the German presidency from 1st if January next year, but that won’t affect on the tempo of the negotiations for EU membership, because Brussels still expects all countries from the Balkan to become members. According to him, the EU is determined to continue the necessary reforms in order to be prepared for the next expansions, and that should encourage Macedonia to finish its tasks – political, economical and social reforms.
“It is important for Macedonia that there won’t be any freezing of the negotiations and slowing down of the process, because the criteria won’t be changing. Possibly there will be strengthening of the monitoring”, Konevska-Trajkovska added.

A LAW FOR PROTECTION OF THE PATIENTS

According to the minister of health, Imer Selmani, the patients are not protected, whereto a law will be add with which their rights will be guaranteed, and those who aren’t satisfied can turn in on the hotline. He warned that the control in the public and in the private health will be strengthened, with managers, who besides the qualified directors-doctors, will manage with the hospitals. Everything will be controlled – from the view of the hospital or the clinic to the hygiene, coffee treats, and the work of the managing personnel. The service quality must increase and the limited health denar must be spent rationally. The managers will control the qualified directors through “tethered signatures”, and those who are not qualified to accomplish that function, they don’t need to stake at all, Selmani sends out. After the privatization the clinics and the hospitals must give other services to the patients also. He held a meeting with the representatives of the World Bank, at which constituted that we are late with implementing of the reforms in the health.

A CALL FOR THIRD MOBILE TELEPHONY

The agency for electronic communications has published a call for allotment of radio frequency for mobile telephony. This step by the Agency ensues after the critics by the Government that is obstructing the election promise because in deadline of 60 days from the forming will open a tender for third mobile operator. Because of that the Government prepared legal modifications for replacing of the Commission members and the Agency’s director with argumentation that they didn’t succeed to insure an efficient competition on the telecommunication market, and with that cheaper phone and Internet services for the citizens.   DEPUTY PM KONEVSKA - TRAJKOVSKA AT CONFERENCE IN OSLO

Macedonian Deputy PM Gabriela Konevska - Trajkovska will deliver an address at the 7th Annual North-South Europe Economic Forum which takes place in Oslo, Norway.
The conference is held under the patronage of the Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, Secretariat for European Affairs press release reads.
Government officials from several European states, international organisations and media will participate at the conference. Among them are the Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store, European Commissioner for Culture Jan Figel, Stability Pact Special Co-ordinator Erhard Busek, the former Bulgarian Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, the former Germany's Federal Minister of Interior Otto Schily and the former Turkish PM Mesut Yilmaz.
