THE REAL SITUATION WITH THE
MINORITIES’ RIGHTS IN GREECE
The Macedonian minority party “Vinozito”, with place in Lerin, reports that
the Greek diplomats are continuing with their shamelessness lying in front
of the international organizations about the rights of the Macedonian
minority in Greece.
As a motive about this evaluation is the last debut of the Greek diplomats
and other politicians of the Parliamentary commission for legal issues and
human rights of the Council of Europe, which meeting was recently held in
Paris. The reaction by “Vinozito” is a result of the statement given by the
Greek diplomat Jorgos Ajfantes, who stated that small part of the
population, which speaks “the Macedonian idiom”, had the right to speak and
learn the language in private schools. According to “Vinozito”, nobody like
Ajfantes didn’t succeed, with so many little words describe the real
situation with the minorities’ right in Greece. |

THE DISCRIMINTATION OF THE
MACEDONIAN POPULATION IN BULGARIA
On the cultural manifestation which is been organized once in a year by the
Community of the children refugees from the Aegean part of Macedonia, the
present guests from Bulgaria spoke about the discrimination of the
Macedonian population in the country again, which will become a part of the
European family.
“We are not establishing contacts with the Macedonian authorities. Neither
they are looking for us nor we them. Macedonia should have politic,
sociologists, psychologists who have to follow, to know what is the
situation of the population in the Pirin part of Macedonia, in the Aegean
part of Macedonia, that is a job of the statesmen and the politicians “,
says Jordan Kostandinov, from OMO Ilinden.
In the 16 years of OMO Ilinden’s existing, the members are often asking
their selves what the Macedonian authorities are doing for the issue how to
protect the rights of the Macedonian minority in Bulgaria.
Because of the stolen right of free association and other repressive
measures under the Macedonian population in Bulgaria, around 300 members of
OMO Ilinden hand over 5 appeals to the European Court of human rights
against the Bulgarian Government. What concerned them the most is the
denying of the Macedonian language, religion, culture and tradition. |

THE FAMILY OF THE KIDNAPPED
ONES SHOULD PAY TO WIN THE VERDICT
The ten families of the kidnapped Macedonians in the time of the 2001
conflict on the name of court taxes should pay 10.000 euros. 1.000 euros per
family are needed to win the verdict by the Court Skopje I Skopje, which
judged - the nearest relatives of the twelve kidnapped Macedonians to get
damage of 20.000 each for suffering pain about the loss of the nearest ones.
For the Macedonian attorney this sum was too high and the attorney Zoja Lega
complained to the Appellate Court. If there wasn’t any appeal, paying money
for winning the verdict was unnecessary.
The families’ lawyer, Vanco Sehtanski, is saying that he will request from
the president of the Appellate Court , urgent examination of the subject,
without paying the tax for the verdict, money which the families of the
kidnapped Macedonians don’t have at this moment the. |

THE GOVERNMENT ALSO NEEDS A SOCIAL DIALOG
On the meeting between SSM and the governmental team of the Prime Miniter
Vlado Buckovski, mostly, was talking about the social dialog, which is not
functioning almost 8 months.
“I can’t say whether are we satisfied or not. We agreed that within a short
term, till 15th of December, we should finish most of the activities. Then
we can say whether we’re satisfied or not. So, when we’ll see the first
results from that that was agreed”, the spokesman of SSM, Pece Gruevski
stated.
“The social dialog is not need just to SSM, but also to the Government,
especially in those days when she fights for entering in EU. For part of the
issues that we instigated there will not be any discuss between the
Government and SSM, but it will be in the ministries and the branch unions”,
Gruevski added.
Another meeting will be called till 15th of December, on which they should
see if that social dialog is functioning. Principally, for the Union,
priority is the setting of a minimal guaranteed salary which will be the
margin of the monthly income and other social-labor problems of the employer
in Republic of Macedonia. The Union is announcing that they will have active
cooperation with the Government in the following period. |

THE 14TH BACHELOR
EVENING CELEBRATED IN AUSTRALIA
“The Macedonian nation was underprivileged many years and was forbidden to
talk their mother language in whole of ethnic Macedonia. But, despite the
rigorous veto, thanks to the previous Macedonian generations, we inherit our
Macedonian language with which we proud ourselves everywhere, including our
second homeland Australia. So, under strong oppressions, vetoes and
tortures, the Macedonian language didn’t stop existing.
It is like phoenix. Today is spoken in Republic of Maceonia, the Aegean
part, the Pirin part, in Albania, as well as in Canada, America and of
course in Australia. According to the last census in Australia, the
Macedonian community is on the first place, which mostly is using the mother
language for mutual communication. The number is fascinating, even 97% of
the Macedonians declared that they speak on Macedonian language in their
homes”, the professor in Kilor Dauns Secondary College, Ico Najdovski stated
on the celebration of the 14th bachelor evening on Macedonian language in
Victoria, Australia. |
