  WILL THE FRENCH "NO" HAVE CONSIQUENCES FOR US?

“The French rejection for the European Constitution brings the further enlargement of the EU in question, and makes it more difficult for Macedonia to get the candidate status in December of this year”, the German Euro parliamentarian Doris Pak said for the newspaper “Dnevnik”.
“We must admit that in such circumstances it will be difficult to award Macedonia a candidate status in December. I’m not saying that that is impossible and that it wont happen, but the fact is that the French “NO” may draw in other countries like Holland, The Czech Republic, Denmark and Great Britain who will say “NO” to the constitution”, stated Pak.
 
     
  TRAJKO SLAVEVSKI, VICE-PRESIDENT OF VMRO-DPMNE

Trajko Slavevski a professor at a faculty of economics is the new vice-president of VMRO-DPMNE. That is what in unanimity The Central committee of the party decided, which also elected five new members in the party’s Executive committee: Koce Trajanovski, Goran Angelov, Ljubisa Georgievski, Vlatko Cingovski and Zoran Konjanovski. With the new five, The Executive committee will have 14 members.
The president of VMRO-DPMNE announced that in September there is a possibility that The Executive committee may be extended and that one or two vice-presidents be named, which was announced during the dismissing of the old team of the Committee.
 
     
  THE SECOND MACEDONIAN EVENING OF THE “KOCO RACIN” ASSOCIATION

In the honor of the Day of the Macedonian and Slavic scholars Cyril and Methodious and on the occasion of the second anniversary of the forming of the Macedonian association “Koco Racin” and of the Macedonian community in Serbia and Montenegro, in the hotel “Metropol” in Belgrade, the second Macedonian evening was held. The president Lidija Demnieva hold a speech in which she pointed out that she hopes that this Macedonian evening will become a tradition which will unite us and bring us closer.
“The reunions with such dear people are a treasure which is to be guarded. That’s why let this evening be a part of the golden thread that binds us. The culture, language and alphabet are the only national treasure that a person carries with him, everything else is gradually lost in this time of globalization and resettling. That is why this evening is being held in May, the month of our scholars Cyril and Methodious, so let us mention them today as our bringers of light, as persons who enlightened the Macedonian and Slavic history, as persons with vision and will, who originated from Macedonia”, stated Demnieva.
She read the telegram sent by the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Branko Crvenkovski, in which he expresses his deep apology for not being able to attend the traditional Macedonian evening, because of prior engagements during that period.
“I’m firmly convinced that true the organizing of this evening, the Macedonian association “Koco Racin” established by the Macedonians who live and stay in Belgrade, will give a considerable contribution not only in the betterment of the status and the affirming of the rights of Macedonians who live and stay in Belgrade, but will also contribute in the enrichment of the cooperation of the Balkan peoples. I sincerely hope that trough the traditional organizing of this kind of evenings, you will represent the Republic of Macedonia in the best light possible and furthermore you will contribute to the promotion of our state in the region and beyond”, is stated in the telegram of the President.
On this evening, quests were distinguished people from the embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in Serbia and Montenegro and from the Ministry for human and minority rights. The president of the Macedonian community in Serbia and Montenegro, Gojko Ilievski also attended.
The Macedonian delegation was led by Ace Dimovski, the secretary of the World Macedonian Congress and Ismail Bojda, the president of the Union of Macedonians of Islamic religion.
 
     
  THE 34 “GOCEVI DENOVI” WERE HELD IN PODGORCI - STRUMICA

In the village near Struga-Podgorci the 34 “Gocevi Denovi” were held, an even dedicated to the nurturing and affirmation of Macedonian national and cultural ideals, and this year it was dedicated to the 102-th anniversary of the death of Goce Delcev and 60 years from the victory over fascism.
The official part of the event began with the placing of fresh flowers at the bust of Goce Delcev and the monument of the fallen in combat fighters of the village which was heralded with the hitting of the bell from the church “St. Nicholas”, as well as the salutary gun fire from revolutionary (komitski) squad, accompanied by the members of the Macedonian arm forces. Then a symbolic carrying and lifting of the renewed Ilinden flag, the symbol of the event, and Oliver Bojcevski, the president of the council of the event “Gocevi Denovi” declared the event opened. For the 102-th anniversary of the death of Goce Delcev and 60 years from the victory over fascism the historian Vanco Georgiev held a speech, and for the work of this year’s winner of Goce’s charter Vladimir Kostov the writer Rade Siljan spoke. The traditional event ended with the visit of the revolutionaries to the church of “St. Nicholas”, and art-cultural program of the KUD “Goce Delcev” from Bitola and musical assembly “Monistra” from Skopje who performed ethno music.
 
     
 

THE WORKS OF LJUBOMIR DONSKI

In the city museum of Skopje an exhibition of 20 works from the art from the longstanding artist Ljubomir Donski from Shtip opened. This is one of the few dozens of solo exhibitions which he has up till now has put on in Macedonia as well as abroad. In the distant 1978 the artist Donski had put on in Shafthousen, Switzerland in the famous art gallery “Roten Aderri” and his works had been put on display in Germany and the former Yugoslavia. Ljubomir Donski is also famous as the author of several books, among which is “The Return from Hell” (a SF novel), published since 1966.

 
     
 

MOZART’S BOAT

“Mozart’s boat” this year’s representative of Macedonia to the 51 International biennale in Venice, a project installation of the Macedonian artist Antoni Maznenski started its road trip to Venice, to the Macedonian pavilion in Palazzo Torsi. The pavilion will officially be opened on June 11th while official inauguration of the Biennale is on June 10th in Gardini in the vicinity of the Italian pavilion.   KOSOVO DOESN'T INTEND TO INTRODUCE VISA REGIME, UNMIK HEAD SAYS


Kosovo doesn't intend to introduce any restrictions or visa regime to Macedonia, UNMIK Head Soren Jessen Petersen said late Wednesday at a working supper with Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski.
"There will no seals or fees, but free movement requiring only a presentation of a passport," Petersen said.
Buckovski said the talks on demarcating Macedonia's northern border on Kosovo part were continuing at expert level.
A meeting on this subject has been already scheduled for June 8 in Pristina, Petersen said, adding that the border demarcation process should be solved before the start of talks on Kosovo final status.
The meeting also addressed the Macedonia-Kosovo free trade agreement, which will be also discussed at the next week expert meeting.

ALL CHURCHES BEAR NAME OF THEIR NATIONAL STATES, HH STEFAN SAYS


The orthodox church is one, sacred and apostolic. However, in its administrative function, the church is divided to local orthodox churches. Each church is organized on a national base, for orthodox peoples that have their territory, independent or sovereign state", Pontiff of Macedonian Orthodox Church (MPC), Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia, HH Stefan said in his public address on Wednesday.
HH Stefan stressed that each local church carried the name of the country and its people. "The Albanian is for Albania, the Bulgarian is for Bulgaria, Greek is for Greece, Russian, Romanian, Polish for their countries, the Serbian for Serbia, and the Macedonian for Macedonia", MPC Pontiff said.

ONE-WINDOW SYSTEM OPERATIONAL ON JANUARY 1, 2006, JORDANOV SAYS


The one-window system for registration of companies will be prepared by September 2005 and will start to work on January 1, 2006 at the beginning of the new fiscal year.
Deputy PM Minco Jordanov after the meeting of the Steering Committee of Trade Register and One-Window System Project said that the greatest part of the operations in transformation of the paper registration documents to electronic form has been accomplished.
"This electronic form represents a basis for the work of the new system which should be comprehended as of the project that will alleviate the registration intended to provide better business climate," Jordanov said.
He said that the companies will receive sole register number in a period from 2 to 3 weeks which will be valid before all state institutions.
He said that conversion of 32.000 companies has already been made and the data for rest of the companies are expected to be added by the end of August.
