  The Government has approved 12 million denars

As the Minister of justice, Meri Mladenovska-Georgievska announced, the Government has approved 12 million denars, for each of the two defenders accused by the Hague Tribunal will be given 6 million denars, for the needs of their families.
The decision is valid only for 2005, and the money will be paid to the wife’s of the accused Ljube Boskovski and Johan Trculovski.
 
     
  Macedonian – Hungarian compromise for the visa regime?

According to the Hungarian Minister of foreign affairs, Ferenc Shomogi, the Hungary is expecting from Macedonia to bring relief of the discriminative regime for the Hungarian citizens and for return, Hungary is prepared to liberalize the visa regime for the Macedonian citizens, because for consolidate bilateral cooperation must be made better conditions for easier traveling in these two countries.
On the meeting, the Macedonian Minister of foreign affairs, Ilinka Mitreva said that she has asked the Minister Shomogi to intercede for the Macedonian citizens to receive free Hungarian visas for longer period.
 
     
  The doctors’ ethics is violated

The ethic-legal commission of the Medical Association has concluded that the codex for doctors’ ethic is violated in the case of the patient Jordan Balabanov, whom was mounted stunts in the Clinic for cardio-surgery. “Balkankan” in Moscow

The movie “Balkankan” from Darko Mitrevski is on the official competition on the Moscow film festival. It is first international appearance of the movie that was seen by 90.000 viewers in Macedonia. This movie will have Italian premiere in the cinemas in Rome, Milan, Nepal, Genoa and Trieste.

 
     
 

Possible pollution from “Topilnica” (Smeltery)

The ecologists are warning that the restart of the “Topilnica”- Skopje can cause pollution.
They are saying that “Topilnica” can’t start with work without previous compiled ecologic study. The ecologists are accusing that the Ministry for life environment is uninterested, because the new owner hasn’t obligated for fulfillment of the ecological standards.

  PM BUCKOVSKI AT CRANS MONTANA FORUM IN ZAGREB


Macedonian PM Vlado Buckovski who participates at Crans Montana Forum in Zagreb, Thursday is to deliver an address before the participants.
Buckovski's address will include integration of the Republic of Macedonia in the EU and expectations for gaining EU candidate country status by the end 2005 and becoming EU full-fledged member by the 2010.
Macedonian Minister of Economy Fatmir Besimi is expected to arrive in Zagreb who will address the forum on economic cooperation of Macedonia with other countries.
"The European Union has shown that it takes care for each part of the continent, including the region of Southeast Europe, Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said Wednesday at the opening of Crans Montana Economic Forum in Zagreb.
"The project for EU accession requires a lot of work, which is worthwhile," Sanader said, expressing hope that Macedonia will soon receive a positive avis from the European Commission and start negotiations for joining the European family.
In a brief address, Macedonian Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski underlined the necessity of realizing regional projects, financed by the EU, MIA's correspondent reported from Zagreb.
The forum gathers Heads of State, Prime Ministers and senior Members of Governments from South-Eastern Europe and EU, businessmen of twenty countries and representatives of several international financial institutions.
The forum represents an opportunity for exchange of experiences in economic cooperation and European integration as well as the democratization of SEE region.
The main topics of the forum are enlarging the European Union, managing risks and challenges for Governments and citizens, achieving South Eastern regional stability, developing regional cooperation, boosting economic growth and investment promoting democracy and the rule of law.
