Често се вели дека да се биде во дијаспората, тоа не значи да се живее во нова татковина. Меѓутоа, факт е дека новата средина за човекот е пресвртница во градењето на новиот живот. Дијаспората бара личноста да се приспособи на новиот начин на живеење; таа имплицира промени во човекот, работата и воопшто во животот. Дојденецот се соочува со тежок пат при интегрирањето за подобро живеење, а интеграцијата вклучува долг процес на кој тешко може да му се најде крајот.

Првиот егзил бил асирскиот прогон, протерувањето од Кралството Израел (Самарија) во 733 година пр.н.е. и неговото завршување со уништувањето на кралството во 722 година пр.н.е., по завршувањето на тригодишната опсада што започнала во Самарија.
Прогонството продолжило кај еден дел од населението на Јудејското Царство во 597 година пр.н.е. со прогонување во Вавилон. Тој егзил во Вавилон завршил по 70 години со декларација дека на протераните Евреи ќе им биде дозволено да се вратат во Ерусалим.
По опсадата на Ерусалим, пак, во 63 година пр.н.е., Хасмонеанското Кралство станалo протекторат на Рим, а потоа во VI век било организиранo како римска провинција Јудеја. Евреите се побуниле против Римската Империја во 66 година од н.е. во периодот познат како Прва еврејско-римска војна која кулминирала со уништувањето на Ерусалим во 70 година од н.е.. За време на опсадата, Римјаните го уништиле Вториот храм и поголемиот дел од Ерусалим. Со ваквиот пристап на прикажување на вистината, на трагедијата и на судбината на тој, во многу периоди измачен народ, се смета дека новите генерации, можеби преку сето ова ќе си го најдат својот клуч за иднината. Тоа ќе прозвучи како изреката на Аба Ковнер (Abba Kovner), мислител, борец и основоположник на Музејот на дијаспората кој рекол: „да се помни минатото, да се живее за сегашноста и да се верува во иднината“. Затоа овој Музеј е место за млади и стари, за религиозни и за секуларни, за Израелци и туѓинци, за туристи и за дојденци, за цивили и за војници.
Идејата за формирање на Музејот за дијаспората датира од педесеттите години, кога доктор Нахум Голдман, основоположникот и претседател на Светскиот еврејски конгрес и на Светската ционистичка федерација како и голем број други видни угледни Евреи во светот, предложиле да се направи споменик за еврејската дијаспора кој ќе го отсликува во минатото и сегашноста.
Идејата беше Музејот да се подели на шест тематски одделенија. Така и се направи, и во мај 1978 година, овој Музеј ги отвори ширум вратите за сите посетители од Израел и од светот. Притоа, многу музејски стручњаци го окарактеризираа како еден од најважните Музеји во светот. А, денес оваа куќа за дијаспората не е само музеј, туку тоа е судир и допир на животот на Евреите од 120 земји ширум светот, во кој е презентирана вистината за историскиот развој и судбината на еврејскиот народ, без разлика дали се Ашкенази – Евреи со европско потекло, или Сефарди – со ориентално потекло.
Ние го посетивме музејот заедно со водичот Берта Зекиќ, а со господинот Марк Курц (Marc Kurz) разменивме мислења, искуства и пораки кои веруваме ќе бидат корисни како за еврејската така и за македонската дијаспора. Притоа, за библиотеката на музејот, на господинот Марк Курц му подаривме одреден број книги, меѓу кои: „Македонски везови“, „Македонската православна црква“, „Монографија за Атанас Близнаков“, „Македонскиот иселенички печат“, „Библискиот речник на македонски јазик“ и друга литература за македонскиот народ во дијаспората и Македонија од Славе Николовски-Катин.
Музејот за дијаспората е единствен и по илјадници детали карактеристична културна и национална установа на Израел, која ги отсликува и ги презентира раселените Евреи во светот. Примерот на овој Музеј беше прифатен и во одредена смисла применет и во Република Македонија, кога во август 2000 година, во рамките на Музејот на Македонија беше отворена изложбата „Иселеништвото од Македонија“. Со сета своја скромност и материјални можности оваа изложба имаше порака дека треба во иднина да се иницираат и поттикнат Македонците во дијаспората, да се организираат, да се приближат, да почувствуваат заедништво и братска љубов меѓу нив, слично како на примерот на Евреите ширум светот.
