Во рамките од прославата на 100-годишниот јубилеј од првата независност на Летонија, Сенатот на Летонската христијанска академија и Советот за високо образование на Летонија, со благослов од архиепископот на Летонската православна црква, синоќа 4. октомври 2018 година со свечена церемонија му беше доделена почесна докторска титула (Doctor Honoris Causa) на проф. Георги Гоце Дуртаноски за неговиот придонес во високото образование и афирмација на христијанските вредности во Летонија и на европскиот континент воопшто.

Почесната титула беше доделена во „салата со столбови„ во Историскиот музеј на градот Рига,  објект ремек-дело на класицизмот и најстар музеј во Европа – комплекс кој го сочинуваат неколку згради напластени со архитектонски влијанија од 12. до 18. век. Академската заедница во Летонија го користи овој објект како престижна бина за церемонијални свечености од областа на науката.

Церемонијата започна со изведба на „Легенда„ од Петар Илич Чајковски и импресивен настап на вонземниот глас на младата талентирана Александра Шпицберга и машкиот вокален ансамбл придружувани од врвната пијанистка Кристине Шмите.

Ректорот на Летонската христијанска академија, проф. Скаидрите Ана Гутмане го имаше воведниот збор на отворањето на церемонијата заедно со летонскиот министер за образование г. Јанис Ветра, а одлуката за доделување на почесната титула ја прочита проф. Ервин Бутчевич. Почесна реч за Дуртаноски имаше поранешната министерка за образование на Летонија академик Баиба Ривжа (исто така почесен доктор од Летонската христијанска академија), која го нагласи исклучителниот педагошки метод за пренесување на знаењето кое го практикува Дуртаноски и му подари лимитирано издание посветено на 100-годишнината од летонската независност, во кое авторство е инволвирана и самата.

Летонската православна црква беше претставувана од митрополитот Јован од Ришката епархија, лично испратен од архиепископот г.Александар кој поради болест неможеше да присуствува на свеченоста. Митрополитот Јован го прочита говорот на Неговото Вископреосвештенсто протоколарно планиран како негово излагање за настанот.

Летонската православна црква уште на самиот почеток даде благослов и силна мотивациска поддршка на катедрата за христијанска палеографија и краснопис кои беа иницирани и предводени од Гоце Дуртаноски во минатите 5 години.

Свеченоста заврши со настапот на ксилофонистката Алесе Сејане изведувајќи ја инструменталната композиција „Источна фантазија„ од Рихард Залупе, следеше и завршна реч на ректорот проф. Скаидрите А. Гутмане за исклучителниот придонес на Дуртаноски и професионален ангажман на повеќе полиња кое го прави „амбасадор на културата„ и еден од ретките преставници на граѓанската дипломатија.

Прочитани беа упатените честитки до Георги Гоце Дуртаноски од архиепископот на Македонската православна црква – Охридска архиепископија г.г. Стефан, директорот на Светската унија на калиграфи и музеј на калиграфијата од Москва, директорот на колеџот за странски јазици проф. Љубов Кисељова од универзитетот во Тарту (Естонија), вишиот специјалист од Летонската национална академија Викторија Москина, хрватската евро-парламентарка Маријана Петир и многу други.

Во поддршка на Дуртаноски колеги и пријатели допатуваа специјално за овој настан од Македонија, Германија, Холандија, САД и Франција.

Во предавањето и презентацијата на ракописната збирка и Скрипториумот кој го основа Дуртаноски акцент беше ставен на естетиката и убавото пишување, како и вовед во студиите за развојот на писмата низ вековите, ракописните стилови и важноста на христијанската палеографија. Дуртаноски го цитираше Баумгартен, Кант и Волтер, а презентирани беа  најубавите и највредни краснописни копии како плод на досегашната работа.

Почесната докторска титула Дуртаноски ја посвети на „малите нации„ и нивниот стремеж за сувереност и самоопределување како и на сите оние кои во изминатите години ја поддржуваа неговата работа и веруваа во убавината на ракописната уметност.

 

 

Георги Г.в.Дуртаноски е основач и директор на Скрипториумот при Летонската христијанска академија, каде воедно предава неколку предмети поврзани со развојот на писмата во христијанската ера со фокус на глаголицата и црковно-словенската кирилица како и декоративното писмо/краснопис. Летонската христијанска академија е единствена институција во Европската унија која ги негува (православните) христијански уметности и вредности.

Во афирмација на македонското писмо и христијанската палеографија Георги Дуртаноски досега ги има реализирано следните изложби:

Inscriptiones Macedoniae (2012 година во Емајскиот манастир во Прага, Чешка);

Manuscripta Glagolitica (2013 во црквата Св.Кирил во Велехрад, Чешка);

Epistulae Christianae (2015 во Општинската зграда/Rigas Dome во Рига, Летонија);

Scripta Sancta (2017-2018 во регионалниот музеј во Талси, Летонија).
