Високиот претставник на ЕУ за надворешни работи и безбедносна политика и потпретседател на Европската комисија, Жозеп Борел, еврокомесарот за проширување и соседска политика Оливер Вархеји, како и претставници на земјите членки на Европската Унија и европските институции пристигнаа во Владата каде ќе се одржи 16-тиот состанок на Советот за стабилизација и асоцијација меѓу ЕУ и Северна Македонија со кој ќе претседава премиерот Димитар Ковачевски.
На состанокот ќе учествуваат и вицепремиерот задолжен за европски прашања Бојан Маричиќ и министерот за надворешни работи Бујар Османи.
Состаноците на Советот за стабилизација и асоцијација меѓу земјава и Европската Унија досега се одржуваа во Брисел, а ова е првпат вакво заседание да се одржи во Скопје, што од македонска страна се оценува како „одличен сигнал сам по себе“.
Според најавите, нa состанокот ќе се разговара за статусот на реформите, напредокот во евроинтеграциите и за билатералните односи во рамки на Спогодбата за стабилизација и асоцијација.
Покрај учеството на состанокот на Советот за стабилизација и асоцијација, предвидено е Борел денеска да се сретне и со шефот на државата Стево Пендаровски, со министерката за одбрана Славјанка Петровска, со претседателот на Собранието, Талат Џафери, како и со собраниските потпретседатели, координаторите на пратеничките групи и претседателите на Националниот совет за евроинтеграции и на собраниската Комисија за европски прашања.
Борел и Вархеји во земјава пристигнаа вчера доцна попладне од Тирана, каде претходно во текот на денот присуствуваа на состанокот на Советот за стабилизација и асоцијација ЕУ-Албанија. На скопскиот аеродром двајцата високи претставници на ЕУ беа пречекани од вицепремиерот Маричиќ, кој во објава на Фејсбук напиша дека државите од Западен Балкан треба да ја искористат политичка поддршка што ја имаат од ЕУ за да ги загарантираат стабилноста, мирот и европската перспектива на регионот.
Борел пред доаѓањето во земјава во интервју за МИА, порача дека Северна Македонија е добар пример за мултиетничко општество и со промена на Уставот дополнително ќе се унапредат основните права во земјата и истовремено ќе се зачуваат македонскиот идентитет и земјата ќе напредува во процесот на пристапување во ЕУ.
-Членството во ЕУ не може да биде проект на една политичка партија, туку тоа треба да биде аспирација за целата земја. Во Северна Македонија, граѓаните ја изразија својата аспирација за влез во ЕУ, бидејќи сакаат да припаѓаат на заедница на вредности и да имаат корист од отворените граници, олеснетото патување, внатрешниот пазар и стандардите на ЕУ во целина. Накусо, граѓаните сакаат мир, просперитет и подобар живот во ЕУ, за нив и за нивните деца. Затоа одговорност на сите ваши политички лидери е да работат и да ја реализираат оваа цел, вели Борел.
Тој нагласува дека преговорите за членство во ЕУ се процес заснован на заслуги и дека при тоа се оценува постигнатиот напредок во исполнувањето на сите поставени критериуми и спроведувањето на стандардите на ЕУ и реформите.
– И овие реформи ќе и помогнат на Северна Македонија да ја унапреди и подобри состојбата и да ја доближи земјата до Европската Унија и стандардите на ЕУ, пред се во интерес на граѓаните на Северна Македонија. Ние ќе бидеме покрај вас и ќе го придружуваме процесот до самиот крај, додека Северна Македонија не стане полноправна земја членка на ЕУ. Тоа е она што го сакаме и целта кон која работиме сите заедно, додава високиот претставник на ЕУ во интервјуто за МИА.
Во исто време и претставници на ЕУ од Брисел, порачаа дека уставните измени се во наши раце и дека тие се суверена одлука на земјава, но Унијата смета дека Северна Македонија има голем потенцијал да оди напред, за што е потребно да се направат одредени чекори, потенцирајќи дека невозможното секогаш станува возможно кога ќе се постават големи услови и кога ќе се увиди важноста на одредено прашање во поглед на стабилноста и напредокот. Според нив, патот е јасен и отворен, земјава не смее да ја пропушти таа можност.
Престојот во земјава, Борел го продолжува и утре во Охрид, каде ќе се одржи нова рунда од дијалогот меѓу Белград и Приштина со посредство на ЕУ, посветен на нормализација не меѓусебните односи. Во Охрид е најавено присуство на српскиот претседател Александар Вучиќ и косовскиот премиер Албан Курти, чиј домаќин ќе биде премиерот Димитар Ковачевски.
