STAY AT HOME DURING EXTREMELY HOT
DAYS, RZZZ RECOMMENDS
The Institute for Health Protection of Macedonia (RZZZ) issued Tuesday
recommendations for avoiding any kind of strenuous activities (including
sports and recreation) during the hottest part of the day; wearing light
clothes, protective sunglasses and hats under direct sunlight; eating less,
especially greasy food, and drinking a lot of water and other sparkling
non-alcoholic beverages.
The institute recommends the children, senior citizens, chronically ill and
pregnant women to stay in indoors, in chilled rooms during the forthcoming
hot days and to complete their obligations in the morning before 10 a.m. or
in the afternoon after 17 p.m.
People should avoid drinking alcohol, beverages with caffeine or extremely
cold soft drinks with large quantities of sugar.
The forecasters say abundant sunshine with local moderate cloudiness will
prevail throughout the day. In the afternoon, it will be unstable with
possible showers and thunderstorms only in northwestern Macedonia. The
temperatures across the country will range between 28C and 37C. Similar
weather prevails in Skopje with temperatures ranging up to 34C. |
