  PRESIDENT CRVENKOVSKI AND FM MILOSOSKI IN A VISIT TO GERMANY

Macedonian delegation led by President Branko Crvenkovski Tuesday is paying a visit to Germany.
The visit is realised upon an invitation of the German President Horst Köhler. President Crvenkovski is accompanied by Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki.
President Crvenkovski besides with his German colleague Köhler, is to meet with President of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert, President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Peter Struck, President of Friedrich Ebert Foundation Roland Schmidt and President of the German - Macedonian Association Walter Kolbow.

DM ELENOVSKI RESUMES WORKING VISIT TO FRANCE

Minster of Defense Lazar Elenovski is due to hold Tuesday an informal meeting with his French counterpart Herve Morin.
Both ministers will hold talks on the improvement of the current bilateral cooperation between the ministries, the forthcoming NATO summit in Bucharest - where Macedonia is most likely to be invited for full-fledged membership, as well as the situation in the region in terms of the Kosovo status, MIA correspondent reports.
The meeting, being part of the lobbying activities for the NATO invitation, is one of the first meetings that will be held between Minister Morin (who took the office one month ago) and his Macedonian counterpart Elenovski.
Elenovski, within the frameworks of his visit to Paris, is set to meet today with Jean de Ponton d’Amécourt, Director of Strategic Affairs in the French Defense Ministry.

"CONCERT MARATHON WITH SIMON TRPCESKI" AT THE ARMY HALL

"Concert Marathon with Simon Trpceski" will be held at the Skopje's Army Hall on June 19 and 20. Piano virtuoso Simon Trpceski, accompanied by ten young Macedonian music names, will perform concerts each lasting for about three hours.
Trio for Piano, Violin and Violoncello, op. 40 by Brahms and Trio for Piano, Violin and Violoncello, op. 66 by Mendelssohn are included in the programme for June 19. Along with Trpceski, violinist Gjorgi Dimcevski from Germany and violoncellists Elizabeta Miceva from Italy and Russian Nikolaj Gimaletdinov are performing.
Besides Trpceski’s solo performance, the second evening will see his stage fellow musicians including baritone Goran Nacevski, soprano Irena Krstevska, trombonist Viktor Ilievski, pianists Andrej Naunov and Edita Hadzi-Hamza, violinists Gjorgi Dimcevski, Kliment Todorovski and young Sofija Nikoska. Pieces by Chopin, Schubert, Grieg, Dvorak, Blazevic, Elgar, Paganini, Bazzini and Sarasate will be performed.
After the concerts, he will leave for the Festival of Chamber Music in Risor, Norway, where he is scheduled to play the same program.
The latest CD by Trpceski, which includes pieces by Chopin, has been enlisted by the global critique among the best editions for 2007.

  STAY AT HOME DURING EXTREMELY HOT DAYS, RZZZ RECOMMENDS

The Institute for Health Protection of Macedonia (RZZZ) issued Tuesday recommendations for avoiding any kind of strenuous activities (including sports and recreation) during the hottest part of the day; wearing light clothes, protective sunglasses and hats under direct sunlight; eating less, especially greasy food, and drinking a lot of water and other sparkling non-alcoholic beverages.
The institute recommends the children, senior citizens, chronically ill and pregnant women to stay in indoors, in chilled rooms during the forthcoming hot days and to complete their obligations in the morning before 10 a.m. or in the afternoon after 17 p.m.
People should avoid drinking alcohol, beverages with caffeine or extremely cold soft drinks with large quantities of sugar.
The forecasters say abundant sunshine with local moderate cloudiness will prevail throughout the day. In the afternoon, it will be unstable with possible showers and thunderstorms only in northwestern Macedonia. The temperatures across the country will range between 28C and 37C. Similar weather prevails in Skopje with temperatures ranging up to 34C.
