  THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION CONCERNED DUE TO THE INCIDENTS

As the spokesman of the commissar for expansion, Kristina Nagji, informed, the European commission is deeply concerned due to the news of the incidents in the Macedonian election campaign.
“That is completely unacceptable. The incidents for which we heard are undermining the good unrolling of the election process and of free, fair and democratic elections. And as you know well, that is the key demand by the EU for continuing through the path of the EU integration”, Nagji says.
The European commission is calling all the parties to work on normal election process that will allowed free elections.
 
     
  SAME FONT FOR ALL PARTIES

The members of DIK made a decision for the image of the voting-paper for the parliament elections. Instead of 50, it will be 70 cm, and all candidates will be written with font 9, size of the letters. All parties will have same space of 3.5 cm.
“We have adjusted the stands, every candidate from any party to have same font and same space”, the president of DIK, Jovan Josifovski, stated.
The compromise is coming after Josifovski has cancelled the government session and announced resignation because the members of the Commission didn’t accept his proposition, the coalition of VMRO-DPMNE to receive more space on the voting-paper, with a purpose all coalition partners of this party to be written.
 
     
 

A BORDER PASSAGE TOWARDS ALBANIA

The Ministry council of Albania made a decision for accepting of the agreement with the Macedonian Government for opening a new border passage between the two countries, Djeppishte – Trebishte.
The decision, as it is stated at the web-site of the Albanian Government, is coming in action after its’ announcement in “Official newspaper”.
The Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha announced possibility for canceling of the visa regime for the Macedonian citizens, no matter of their ethnic pripadnost. The government in Tirana, as the Albanian media have informed, soon the government should made a decision for liberalization of the visa regime for all foreign citizens that are planning to visit Albania, with a purpose to attract tourists.

 
     
  A CAMPAIGN OF “VINOZITO”

The party of the Macedonian minority in Greece, “Vinozito”, will begin a campaign on an international scene, stating the unrecognizing of the Macedonians in Greece. The disrespecting of the international standards, norms and conventions for human rights by Greece will be stated in the campaign. “Vinozito” has begun to establish contacts also with famous Macedonian lobbyists throughout the world.
 
     
 

THERE ARE STILL REFUGEES IN MACEDONIA

There are still 724 domestic refugees from the 2001 conflict and around 2.200refugees from Kosovo, mainly, Kosovo’s gypsies. The High refugees’ commissariat of UN (UNHCR) is taking care of them.
“There is a big change of the situation in Macedonia regarding to the returning of the refugees in Kosovo. We are waiting to see how the situation will develop and also the output of the negotiations. The fund help remains the same, which we give to the refugees and the legal help in the decision of their status”, the representative of UNHCR for Macedonia, Ketrin Woker, stated.
In last 12 months the Supreme Court deducted more than 220 appeals of the refugees’ seeking for asylum. After refused asylum, the refugees should be deported because of the uncertain safety condition in the places where they should return.

 
     
  FINAL VIEW OF THE MACEDONIAN PASSPORT

The minister of interior affairs Ljubomir Mihajlovski-Django has presented the view of the new Macedonian passport, which was made by the German company “Gizeke and Devrient”, a winner of the tender for making of the new IDs. It’s expected that the Macedonian citizens to receive the new IDs till the end of the 2006.
The company for making of the Macedonian passports, IDs and driving licenses should receive 23.45 million euros that should be pay for 11 years. “Gizeke” will make the passports with polycarbonate and that is the only company that offered option, the electronic chip to be directly built-in the polycarbonate.
 
     
  CEREMONY IN HONOR OF BORIS TRAJKOVSKI

In organization of the Foundation “Boris Trajkovski” on 25th of June in Strumica will be marked 50 years from the birth of the tragically died president of RM. In that occasion a Ceremony academy dedicated to Boris Trajkovski in the National institution – Cultural Centre “Anton Panov” in Strumica, an exposition of photographs named as “Boris Trajkovski – Memory and vision “, will be opened, and texts on the theme “Boris Trajkovski, our sorrow and pride” will be awarded, a flower will be lay in front of the monument- the mark in his honor, “Macedonia”, and in the end a competition in volleyball will be held between the representation of RM (youth) and the representation of Strumica.
 
     
  FREE HEALTH PREVENTIVE FOR CHILDREN?

The Macedonian Helsinki commission seeks health preventive for the children to be free including also the operations abroad. For this the country should make agreements that the costs for the operations will be pay by the Health Fund. To reduce the costs, instead in the private institutions, the patients must be treated abroad, but they don’t need to participate in the costs because the country is due to secure conditions for treating.
 
     
  NEW FREE-COMMERCE ZONE –CEFTA 2006

For 27th and 28th in Brussels, negotiations are appointed from new free-commerce zone Southeastern Europe, which will be called CEFTA 2006. The negotiations in Brussels are under a patronage of the stability pact and the EU as a mediator. Besides Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moldavia will accompanied to the old members.
 
     
  A PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

The Machine faculty Skopje in collaboration with the Austria Development Agency (ADA), began with implementation of the project “Centre for development of new businesses” at the University “St. Cyril and Methody”. In the first phase of the project, ADA appears as a donator with a total participation of 450.000 euros, and the Machine Faculty is implemented institution with own participation of 50.000 euros. The signatories of the agreement are the ambassador of Austria in Macedonia, Phillip Hojos and the rector of UKIM, Gjorgji Martinovski.
 
     
  “KOKINO” – 4.000 YEARS LATER

Today, at the locality Kokino, the manifestation “Kokino - 4.000 years later” will be held, which has been organized by the Ministry of culture and the city of Kumanovo, as a current city of the culture and the Music youth of Macedonia. the event is at the time when the day and the night are equal with a purpose to see the phenomena according to which the astronomers are proving that it’s a matter of megalith observatory established 1.800 B.C. The idea with musical happening to mark the sunrise is of Kokan Dimushevski and Bodan Arsovski, whose concert that night will be a central at the manifestation. The event will begin with the Cultural association “Drimkol” from Vevcani that through the famous masks and pagan customs will transfer the public in the time of the beginnings of the observation. After the attendece of “String forces”, Kokan and Bodan with “Drafts from the past”, at midnight are “Majovci”, after that a party with young groups and d-jay Dea will umpcome.
 
     
  ITALIAN FUNDS FOR ANTIC CITIES

The antics cities Skupi, Stobi and Heraclea Linkestis will receive a part from the donation of the Italian Government worth 3 million euros. The three authorized institutions still don’t know who much they will receive from the promised funds and for development of the cultural tourism.   US WILL NOT ABOLISH VISAS FOR NEW EU MEMBERS

- The US don't plan to abolish visa regime for the citizens of the new EU member countries, said Wednesday Judith Ansley, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for European Affairs in the White House.
"There was a reiteration of that policy of the road map process. Obviously, the President is committed to visa-free travel for these countries and the road map is a way to help them achieve that goal," Ansley said.
She said that the Vienna meeting also focused on energy security and Iran and North Korea nuclear problems.
