ELECTIONS ON 5TH OF JULY
Despite the critics, all representative groups agreed the election to be on
5th of July, a date which was also offered by president of the Assembly,
Jordanovski.
“It would be more logical if the elections are in June and not in July. But
RM has interest as quick as possible to be held and a Government to be
formed sooner”, Nikola Gruevski – VMRO-DPMNE.
“SDSM, unlike the other parties that have varied with the dates, 3 months
earlier said that 5th of July is the wishful date”, Vlado Buckovski – SDSM.
“Long ago the date was mention and DOM was preparing for it”, Liljana
Popovska – DOM.
“There won’t be any coalition with SDSM after the elections. Everybody
gymnasts with their brain and nobody know and can’t know what can be
expected”, Tito Petkovski –NSDP.
“It is not the happiest selected term, it’s more preferred for the ruling
parties”, Vesna Janevska – VMRO – Narodna.
“The 5th July’s term is acceptable”, Menduh Tachi – DPA.
The Assembly will work till the beginning of the campaign. |

THE IMF IS AGAINST A LOW
FOR EMPLOYEES OF BANKRUPT COMPANIES AND SURPLUS LABOR
IMF threatens with frizzing of the arrangement because of pre-election
brought two laws, for the surplus labor and the changes in the law of
insurance in case of unemployment. The Government urgently called a meeting
after this dramatic news.
The chief of the monetarists Mark Grifits sent a letter to the minister of
finance Popovski, in which he requests answer, from where the Government
thinks to find funds in order to provide the disputable laws. The
representatives unanimously supported the Law of surplus labor. The
Government stated itself against because that mows with the debit budget
policy and there is no money for that kind of operations, and neither has
correct valuation how many people are offing to use the privileges. Sources
from the Government are saying that misusages with these laws can be
massive, respectively everybody can establish a firm and put it in surplus
labor and after that to be on Government load, which would be unimaginable
for our economy. |

THE
DEMARCATION WITH MACEDONIA MUST BE CLOSED
Buckovski called the international union to close the demarcation of the
borders, before the arrangement of the Kosovo’s status. When the authorities
in Pristina said that they will wait for more suitable times for this
question, the prime minister now more than ever insists that to be done by
the international factor. He is suggesting, the foreigners not to runaway
from the resolving of this problem, because as he says, the keys is in their
hands. They sponsor the dialog between Belgrade and Pristina, which is led
in the frame offered by Kai Eide, the Norwegian diplomat who in his
statement he mentioned that the demarcation should be finished before the
status’ confirmation.
“If Kosovo wants to discuss about the independence, they should close the
issue about the demarcation with Macedonia and to produce stability. I
stated this in public, someone was angry, someone not, that is good for
their aim to produce stability and to be with stronger positions. If they’re
not ready to close this issue Macedonia should be more persistent and to
press the international union. The combination that we made are not
productive, the key is in the international union”. |

A PROTEST NOTE BY MFA
Skopje delivered an official protest to Sofia because of the incident near
the Rozden monastery in Bulgaria, when the Macedonians in the country were
stopped to bow in front of the Jane Sandanksi’s monument. The Bulgarian
ambassador in the country, Miho Mihov, was called in MFA to explain why the
Bulgarian nationalists are allowed to prevent the commemoration of Sandanski
every year and why Bulgaria is not respecting the European convention of
human rights which by the way guarantee the rights of the minority.
Mihov was asking how the preparing went for the event in Rozden and he
promised that he will convey the protest. Also last year, for the
commemoration of Sandanski, MFA has sent a protest to official Sofia.
Although the promised, they don’t comment the reasons about the incident.
The international court for human rights in Strasburg recently judged
Bulgaria for that they didn’t register OMO Ilinden Pirin as a party and for
the disabling of the public gatherings of the Macedonians who live there. |

SUPPORTING WALLS OF
SAMOIL'S FORTRESS COLLAPSED STRUT
Because of landslide caused by the rains, the wall has been destroyed,
respectively the walls on the north site from the Samoil’s fortress in
Ohrid. The destroyed stones of the sharp part of the fortress, towards the
Labino region, also dragged trees that rolled in to the lake. The Ohrid’s
archeologist Pasko Kuzman confirmed that the reason for landslide of the
wall is not only the old age but also the rains in the last period.
He says that almost 200 years is not intervened in protection in restoration
of the abutment. The protection works of the Ohrid’s fortress were cancelled
in 2002 because of lack of funds. The inspectors from the protection
management of cultural heritage made an inspection of the damage from the
collapsing. According to Jovan Ristov, from this management, the collapsed
wall is not with cultural-historical value and from the information by the
inspector for cultural heritage was established that it is a question of a
collapsing of the perimeter wall, a wall that is outside from the part of
the fortress. |
