VIOLATIONS OF HUMAN
RIGHTS!?
The “Amnesty International” office in Australia is making an inquiry if
there is any violation of human rights in the process against Ljube Boskoski
and Johan Tarculovski by the request of the local association “Brother Ljube
Boskoski- the Macedonian Duke”.
“We informed the office of “Amnesty” in details about everything that was
happening from the moment of Ljube Boskoski’s expulsion from Macedonia to
Croatia, and from there deported and detained to Hague, and also the arrest
of Tarculovski, which represents a classical kidnapping executed by a
government. The organization estimated that in these cases there are
indications of serious violations of human rights”, stated the spokesman of
the association Goce Risteski.
The Parliamentarians in the Australian Parliament and other politicians were
familiarized with the detention of the two Macedonians accused by The Hague
Tribunal and they expressed readiness to protect their rights. |

THE DAYS OF THEATRE
The city under the Marko’s towers - Prilep lived in the sign of the
traditional Macedonian theatre festival “Vojdan Cernodrinski”. The main
blame for the large program (total of 25 plays) goes to Guner Ismail. During
the opening he stated that the sons and daughters of Espies are with the
audience. Under this motto through out the city of Prilep the art of theatre
pulsated, all in the name of the awarded, “defeated”, still present artists.
Among the participation of the numerous Macedonian theatres, the audience of
Prilep also welcomed the visitors from Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro and
France. |

PM BUCKOVSKI CONTINUES HIS VISIT TO
GERMANY
Macedonian Prime Minister Vlado buckovski, who is paying an official visit
to Germany on invitation of Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, will meet Thursday
in Munich President of Bavarian Government Edmund Stoiber.
Afterwards, Buckovski will give a speech at a round table on Macedonia's
integration with the EU. Representatives of German, Bavarian Governments,
SEE Stability Pact, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and
World Bank are expected to attend the meeting.
Buckovski will close his visit to Germany with signing of a cooperation memo
between the Macedonian Government and German conglomerate "Siemens".
There are no political problems between Macedonia and Germany, which is
Macedonia's top partner, particularly in the economic and development
polices that impose boosting of the economic cooperation, German Chancellor
Gerhard Schroeder said Wednesday after meeting Macedonian Prime Minister
Vlado Buckovski.
Buckovski-Schroeder meeting was focused on the bilateral relations,
developments in Europe and the region.
The Macedonian-German cooperation has been already defined by concrete
projects in military, energy and telecommunications spheres, Schroeder said.
Schroeder, at a news briefing with Buckovski, said the example of Macedonian
stability was closely linked to its prospects for membership in European
Union and NATO.
He attacked "populists" for seeking to destroy the European Union with a bid
to prevent the bloc's enlargement in the western Balkans.
"PM Buckovski has made huge efforts to conduct successful reforms in his
country and these reforms are now showing very significant results.
Macedonia's example without any doubt may show that the region's stability
is linked with its European perspectives," Schroeder said.
He warned that ending these perspectives would fuel instability in the
region, and accused EU skeptics using the rejection of EU constitution by
French and Dutch voters in a bid to wreck the entire Union.
"The perspectives of Macedonia for accession to the EU and NATO are enjoying
Germany's full support," Schroeder said.
It is a privilege for Macedonia to have Germany as an ally, Buckovski said,
adding that a continuation of the EU and NATO enlargement processes is
crucial for the Balkan stabilization.
"Instability is much more expensive," said Schroeder in reply to a reporter
who asked how enlargement into the region could be funded, adding: "You
would be amazed if I told you how much the current situation in the Balkans
with European soldiers costs."
The Chancellor praised Macedonia for being an example of multiethnic -
multicultural society and a frontrunner of prosperous countries in the
region.
Today, Buckovski also had a meeting with the Christian-Democratic Union
(CDU) leader, Angela Merkel, focused on developments in the Balkan region
and the European Union after the French and Dutch rejection of EU
constitution.
Referring to the region's developments, Buckovski said that Macedonia was
playing a leading role in the regional cooperation, pointing out the
progress of defense reforms of the Adriatic Charter signatory countries.
NATO membership is significant for the region's stability, Merkel said. |
