PM BUCKOVSKI MEETS LEADERS OF POLITICAL PARTIES

Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski met Wednesday with the leaders of political parties, which are part of the second round of local elections.
Although invited, the leaders of opposition parties VMRO-DPMNE and DPA did not attend the meeting, the PM's Cabinet said in a press release.
The meeting's attendants considered their absence as a lack of interest in eliminating the problems and irregularities, registered in the first round of municipal elections.
Buckovski also called DPA to reconsider its decision on boycotting the second election round, saying that such move is not in favor of the Albanian political block in Macedonia.
"Most of the irregularities were registered in municipalities, dominated by Albanian population. DPA's boycott may have a serious impact on the democratic development and democratization of Albanian community electorate, which along with Roma population are subject of numerous manipulations," Buskovski said.
It was also reiterated that the Government would do everything in its power to provide fair and democratic elections.
